First of all I've gotta mention the art; the way it was spaced out between each chapter, with the slowly growing and flourishing tattoos and the COLORS made the perfect beat that hit me right in the heart each time I finished a fic piece and clicked that Next button. Also the way they're looking at each other all soft and their hands is just HNNNNNNNN I LOVE!! The whole site setup is honestly beautiful, it made it feel like a storybook I was paging through.
And the fic!! I loved that their first meeting was included, and how they noticed each other as rivals first and that that camaraderie stayed a part of their relationship going forward. I loved when Konoha told Bokuto he was 'visually interesting' because damn if that doesn't describe Bokuto perfectly omg. I loved Akaashi as the prettiest maid at the festival and their dumb bro carnival shenanigans. The adulting and soulmate anxieties as they got older were also really well done, and the little lived-in details like the last unpacked box and their ramen dates just gave it that extra dimension.
I honestly didn't see the last part about their tattoos blending and matching coming, so I had to literally stop reading for a few moments and die over how good and beautiful that was. Soulmate AU fics are wonderful when done right and with little twists like that, so it was absolutely perfect.
Just...SO MANY BRO FEELS YOU GUYS DID SUCH A GOOD JOB!! ;w; A bromance for the ages indeed.
Re: Comment: Team Grandstand
thank you so much! It's so nice to hear that both the art and the fic worked for you, and everybody seems to love the Konoha line.
COMMENT: Team Kinara
I love all the little mundane world-building details about tattoo romance movies and locker room gossip - it really brings the whole concept to life and feel perfectly at home in the setting. And I love these bros being huge dummies that can't put it together when they're literally wearing it on their sleeves. I screamed at cackled a lot, which I'm sure spoiled the whole thing for my partner but that's what you get when you move in with me.
Smart use of art to keep that suspense of how their tattoos will develop without overshadowing or being overshadowed by the prose. The dialogue and pacing were lovely - never a dull moment and with just the right vignettes to show a developing (b)romance. By the time they started getting melancholic about losing their best buds and hoping their soulmates were friends too, I was so head over heels for these losers.
Great job making the whole thing mesh! I don't think I've ever seen this many writers on one piece and keep such a consistent tone and style. You must be really in sync in your love of these doofs <3

Ngl I love the conflict of them having feelings for each other but worrying that it won't work out because their marks were so different. I think this is the softest side of our sweet bros and I haven't really read much of them so thank you for taking me on this gentle journey. You guys rock, this was awesome, and I love ya. Okay I'm done haha bye x

The truth about the title is we were working on a real one, and then I started shitposting Bro titles in the group chat and then we all liked this one better than the real one. I played myself!!

i also loved how their soulmate tattoos initially looked quite different?? until the end revelation that was agsdfkk the build-up was great and the end was so so worth it!!
also !!! slipping in little domestic and dorky naunces were perfect for this pair! there was always interesting dialogues or subtle references that kept this whole entry super engaging & adorable (shounen jump, ramen, an old unpacked box from the last move etc)!!!! i'm very much in love with this!!!
this was expertly crafted and such a blessing to admire, thank you for sharing this w everyone!! ♡

i admit i don't usually enjoy soulmate aus, but i really liked how you showed their developing bokukuro's relationship step by step and made their soulmate bond just a confirmation that they're perfect for each other and not a cause.
great job!!!!

You guys gave us their story and how they fell in love with each other, going from simple acquaintances to best bros to best friends before becoming partners, and that was delivered with beautiful words! The slight pining added to the anticipation and we could only feel happy for them when they realized they were soulmates from the start.
Some lines that really made me laugh!
["Kuroo Tetsurou, ace killer"] such epic fndjs
["visually interesting"] that's a succinct way to describe Bokuto Koutarou
["Do you get taller every time I see you?"] no, that's just his bedhair getting messier and messier lmao
Good job, thank you for sharing!! :D

the coding was so so cool!! i loved being able to click through it like that! as much as i usually like just scrolling and seeing everything in line, i liked this just as much, if not more! it was put together so well, and it was super cohesive!!
the art was just super gorgeous. i loved how the colours started out faded, and grew in intensity as the tattoos also grew. the colours themselves were gorgeous and chosen so well, and i adore your style!!
i'm trying to think of something else specific about the fic, but its so hard because i just loved the entire thing!! the plot, the dialogue, the characterization, the styles, it was all just so perfect for me!! i am absolutely in love with how their relationship developed, from friendly rivals to best bros to best friends and eventually to romantic partners. it was so natural, and it was so them
thank you so much for bringing this into the world!! im screeching at how absolutely stunning it was!!!!!

I loved the fact that their tattoos grew together with them and secretly deep down by the end they knew (and were so relieved!) it was each other they were meant to be with. I just think of bokuro like the cat and little owl that are best friends videos that are out there, and while they work to keep the other in line, they also try not to drive each other crazy too.
Amazing job to the entire team, and I was matching these two volleyball dorks and their amount of infectious enthusiasm (and love) by the end ❤️

Coding: It was such a smooth and easy experience to view the art and story!
Story: Okay so I loved when in chapter 1 Kuroo started scratching at his chest when he was hearing about Bokuto. Like I knew it was coming but I was smiling so much because it was like “yes! I am ready!” I also loved the line “Bokuto, future ace. Kuroo, ace killer” part. I loved the part in chapter 2 where Kuroo booped Bokuto’s nose with the plushie, is was incredibly cute. The part in chapter 3 where Bokuto says he’s thinking and Kuroo said “that’s never a good thing” felt so in character, and chapter 4 also felt really in character. I just want to like, frame chapter 5. Like all of it was so good! I’m not sure how the writing was divided but y’all did a great job making one cohesive story!
Also not sure who picked the font for your story but like I love the font you used and would love to know the name of it!
Also also I'm glad this entry was made to remind me just how much I love this ship!
Re: COMMENT: Team 29 Balls (and a Bucket) to the Face
Hal says the font is called "Nunito" and that it's a google font!

Friends to lovers is already my jam, and combined with the tattoos as a physical sign of how they're growing up and "should" be moving on to other people, aww. I like this take on soulmate marks, with the tattoos not necessarily matching another person's, but growing at important times with that person. The artwork throughout, watching the little bits of tattoo develop, was really well done. Great job y'all!

I was going to read this in Flat View at first but clicked on the first part of the fic and kept going because I was loving the step-by-step progression of their relationship. Everything felt so natural and easy between them and I loved the tattoo mythology and how it works.
You all did a GREAT job showing and not telling: the passage time, their feelings for each other, their day-to-day lives. I haven't seen Haikyuu!! but I felt like I learned so much about these characters and their personalities. Wonderful work!

This was so well crafted and such a treat to go through. The development was perfect - honestly everything I wanted and more without even knowing what I wanted in the first place. I loved the art, too...every time I saw it progress I let out this tiny little "oh fuck yes....."
Really great job, guys....I love this so much!!

I think one of the things that stood out most and centered me in the story was the use of detail! In the art, there's the gradual growth of the marks and the pinkies touching. In the prose, there's the specific, named real-world objects (the faded t-shirt, the video games) that just make the characters so accessible. This has been mentioned before, but it's really incredible that your team was able to stay so stylistically consistent chapter-to-chapter with so many authors – really great job creating a cohesive, easy to navigate piece that combined multiple media types smoothly.
