OHHH, OHH GOSH. Guys, what an amazing entry! I really loved the way the tension builds, the plot-twists (THE PLOT-TWISTS), the divisions that you made with the pictures and the coding, the narrative style! The details! It's so well done!

Good job everyone, this was incredible!

Oh this fits Midousuji so well. I like the way you've described him color coding feelings instead of trying to define or deal with them, and the way that's brought out by the alternating perspectives and changing background colors is so good.
All of your art is gorgeous. Man. this is Such a MidoKoma mood. Gross.

This killed me. Just laid me out flat. I love messy feelings, and this was so messy, especially with how both of them are just awful at dealing with/expressing emotion. Komari's restraint and Midosuji's impulsive thoughtlessness...they really made the story tense and compelling. When I saw what Midosuji was going to do I had to take a moment to walk around because I couldn't deal. And then the yellow! And the messy ending. So great.

This was a fascinating entry. The art was lush and lovely and the story took twists I didn't expect. The emotional impact was very made more dramatic by focusing on the few lines at the climax scenes.

Oh, this was amazing.

I loved the way you used the prompt and made it about hair dye, which fits well with the theme and also Midousuji's obsessions with change and constant improvement. I could really feel the tension between them. I don't know Kishigami very well as haven't caught up with the manga here but loved the portrayal and the way they were with each other.

The artwork added so much to the tension and dynamic between them, and I was in shock at the picture when he shaved the blue mohawk off. Having Kishigami appear with yellow hair was such a good twist, and Midousuji's reaction was predictably blunt.

Fantastic entry, guys. I really hope you're proud of yourselves.

This is another Yowapeda ship I don't know much about since I'm not yet in the fandom, but you did such a fantastic job with the atmosphere and subtle characterization here that I feel like I do know them more now.

The layout of the work really, really helped enhance the unique atmosphere, in a way that I'm still not quite sure how to describe. The emphasized link-phrases, alternating art pieces, and changing color backgrounds, as well as the starkly powerful narrative style, all came together to create a sort of tense, uneasy longing that was fantastic for putting us in Midousuji's unique headspace. I felt like I was holding my breath for what was coming next for the entire thing, which was a strange and memorable sensation that you all should honestly be really proud of creating.

I love the complexity of emotions displayed here even without knowing much about the ship too; I can tell this isn't a straightforward fluffy romance nor is it something fully angsty or tragic, and the messy open ending reflects that wonderfully.

And of course the art itself was lovely, and its placement smart and powerful (especially those single frames of the clippers and blue hair). I also thought Komari looks gorgeous with yellow hair in that second to last image, Midousuji's opinions notwithstanding. ;)

Thanks for helping us understand and enjoy what is obviously a really unique pairing--this was super creative and a one-of-a-kind entry to experience!

I'm a hardcore Sohoku stan, but this piece is started to convert me to Kyoto Fushimi! The alternating perspectives (that are also signified by color! AH!) are wonderful, and the art is gorgeous! Just fantastic, fantastic job!

I also barely know anything about this pairing, but I did think it was well put together and I can definitely appreciate the time that sort of things takes since my team also decided on some coding/story progression.

I really liked this first image you have on the DW page, because I love the dramatic colors and lines, but what I like best is how it makes more sense now that i've read the fic and come back, with the colored triangles.

Nice work, Team Rotten Meat!

Ahh, this is very cool! I'm not a Yowapeda person but I do appreciate a good hairdye story and a good messy emotions story, and this definitely has both. The art in this is super cool and I especially love the last image of the two of them standing back-to-back, looking so different than they did at first. And the story itself was incredibly nice to read, it flowed very well and I got drawn in, despite only a passing familiarity with the characters. Fantastic work!

I'm not familiar with Yowapeda but this was lovely! The writing is like a painting, full of light, shadow, tone, shine, and movement! Lots of it! I really enjoyed how you chose that the feeling should be "blue" but not a sad feeling (though a bit angsty maybe). The plot twists were so unexpected and your use of color from the vibrant and alive artwork to the background for the text brings everything together beautifully!

Ahhh, you really nailed Midousuji, which isn't an easy thing to do. You definitely captured what makes him a compelling character. Great job on finding that sweet spot of vaguely unsettling human interaction (and without a single molting no less)!

I loved the use of color to denote change in perspective and the way the page breaks were used to control the pacing. The use of prose and illustration were balanced beautifully and it was fantastic how they played off each other rather than just simply reiterating the same information. The key to a great multimedia piece, after all, is that removing one of the elements would break the narrative.

Great to see other bike nerds doing cool stuff!

Oh my gosh to that opening art that just drew me in.... (and the text that broke my heart but so very Midousuji)

Before watching the latest Yowa season I’ll admit I really wasn’t that big of a Komari fan... until they made an appearance and pretty much stole/joined the long list of memorable biking characters for me. I’d be chasing those bright wisps of blue too if I was in Midousuji’s shoes ❤️

Lovely entry and thank you to the whole team for all of your hard work!

I absolutely love the way you transition from each bit, and the background change to pink whenever it changed? It was so smooth and nice to read and @ whoever drew that first art piece: it's so aesthetic and soft and I love your art style.

Oooh! This was such a fascinating entry! I love the way you melded the colors of their hair into the background colors for the text ! All these strong feelings are so messy and confused and I love it. It hurts so good the way they both struggle to express themselves.
The art was gorgeous and just added that much extra feeling to it too!

Thank you for sharing!

If there's two things I love it's a hair dye story and angst. Y'all know these characters so well, and convey their complexities perfectly. You got me howling over here with this beautiful art and writing.

I love the way these two are able to communicate with each other in ways they can't with others, but still can't completely understand. I love Midousuji's relationship with colors and how Komari effects that relationship, and I love how you've captured Midousuji's sad tendency to hurt others in his own search for coping.

"As he pulls his shirt over his head, he catches his reflection in the mirror, startled by the familiar color appearing in an unfamiliar place." Ouch. This is my favorite line by far I think. It reminds me of how Midousuji struggles to find happiness and comfort, and how his desire to own and obtain ultimately hurts him every time.

ALL IN ALL thanks for the food I'm emo

I must admit i'm unfamiliar with Yowapeda, so this was definitely an interesting read for me! Though I'm unfamiliar with the characters, the precarious calm and well-built tension was something that sucked me in, and it was interesting to see the dynamics of these characters. I love how you tied the theme to hair dye, a unique concept that no other team has thought of! The symbolism behind it, change, improvement, death & rebirth, gave me a better insight to Midousuji's character (and boy, does he seem like a tricky one!) The art also really helped me understand the tone and mood of each scene more since I knew nothing about these characters! The colours used in contrast between the two characters, especially in the art works, helped me understand this entry far better.

This left me with an urge and need to watch Yowapeda, to really grasp the cusp of these interesting characters!! Good job to the team; I didn't enjoy this any less <3

Coding: Great job on the coding! Everything worked so smooth and I liked all of the color changes that were in there from the words to the backgrounds.

Art: It all looked really nice and while there were different styles they didn’t clash and fit well together.

Story: I like how the one character talked about his feeling as a color, and just left it at that without trying to find like a specific word for the feeling.

Well that was a whirlwind of emotions hvcxgddfszxdgf The way y'all chose to present your work is super, super cool! (and ty for the instructions at the beginning! It's best to skip over that moment of confusion like "what do I do? what do I click?") The cover art is suuuuuper gorgeous, and I love how the art within doesn't just complement the story, but actively work to tell part of the story. Awesome work ^^

Everything about this is so so so good...the cover art is breathtaking, the art within did so well to complement the story, and the story itself is beautifully written and very captivating. I loved how everything flowed and the transitions were so smooth; the colors were also really cool, and I absolutely love how they changed throughout the story.

This is a beautiful entry, and it's definitely made me want to get into Yowapeda even more!!!
